Pontiac Elks Country Club first opened for play in 1920. Originally a 9 hole course, Pontiac Elks expanded to 18 holes in 1975.
Pontiac Elks has a mix of mature trees throughout, there is also plenty of sand and water to challenge your shot making skills. The large, contoured greens on this course are lightning fast, and the plush fairways are narrow. A great test for all players with big, undulating greens, three par-3s of more than 200 yards. and water on 12 of 18 holes. There is a creek flowing throughout the course that comes into play on thirteen holes.
Pontiac Elks Country Club measures 6804 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 122 and a 72.2 USGA rating. The course features 3 sets of tees for different skill levels.
Blue tees: par-72, 6,804 yards, 72.2 / 122
White tees: par-72, 6,565 yards, 71.2 / 119
Red tees: par-72, 5,507 yards, 70.6 / 113

Worth the trip from the Chicagoland suburbs. A challenging course. Greens weren't at their best because they had been aerated and hadn't healed. Otherwise, in great shape despite the hot dry weather this year.

Been playing here since mid 1990's and i like the layout of open & tight holes that makes it relaxing to play. The wind will come into play on some holes that will really make you decide where you want to land. I've used my driver on one par 3 (190yd)that had a 3 club headwind. Greens are always in good shape and fairways are watered so they are nice and smooth rolling. Located right off the highway and are very accommondating to out of county vistors.
